HOUSE SYSTEM

In our school system, each student is placed in one of the four houses ( GREEN, YELLOW, BLUE, RED). A Girl and a boy house captain are assisted by a girl and a Boy Vice-Captain. A Member of the staff assisted by several other teachers act as the House Master/Mistress.

The House system inculcates in the students the values of team spirit, commitment, loyalty, sharing and healthy competition. A student is urged to compete with them self, raising their own excellence bar. Points are awarded to students throughout the year for co-curricular activities through Inter House competitions in sports, Debates, Quiz, Arts & Music and prizes/Trophies are awarded accordingly. At the end of the academic session, the house gaining the highest point is awarded the running trophy.
The aim of the House system is to inculcate and develop the qualities of leadership, public speaking; organizational skills among the students through various inter house competitions and school functions.

All the Houses shall perform the following duties by rotation.

  1. To conduct the Morning Assembly
  2. To collect and prepare news of International, National, School and Sports events and also write a thought for the day on the blackboard meant for the purpose.
  3. To deliver the “Thought” in the form of a short speech in the Assembly.
  4. To check the late comers and mark in their diaries.
  5. To help in maintaining order and discipline during the recess period.
  6. To participate enthusiastically in all Intra-House and Inter-House contests.
  7. To check neat and clean environment is available or not.

Objectives of House System
• Provide a smooth transition from home life to school life.
• Develop situations which fulfill the social and emotional needs of the children.
• Help socialization of pupils to integrate themselves well into corporate life.
• Inculcate the senses of responsibility to take his tasks in life earnestly and discharge them well.
• Develop child’s personality and integrity.
• Develop the spirit of healthy competition among the students.
• Inculcate the qualities of self confidence and respect for others views and opinion and desertion to take their own decisions and issue and problems at hand .
• Develop a sense of belongings among the pupils and create a sense of desire to live harmony.
• Benefit by bright example of others by his own example.
• Inculcate in the child respect for seniors , elders , teachers ,and a caring altitude towards juniors and fraternity towards all .
• Learn to live , endure and enjoy together and develop a degree of sensitivity for others feelings need.
• Prepare pupils to play different kinds of roles and members of a group, community.
